All about Ava

April 24, 2008 was Ava's 1 year home. She had spent 132 days in the NICU. She came and that's when the sleeping stopped.

Ava has 8 teeth, and working on number 9.

She is a bit delayed on her fine motor skills, gross motor skills, speech, and has a few issues still resolving from her prematurity. She has made huge accomplishments, considering where she started from, 1 lb 2 oz and 16 weeks early.

Ava is my sweet baby. She has always been my happy lil girl, except when she's teething. Let me tell you this girl has an attitude like you wouldn't believe.

She has the cutest little laugh, when she first came home from the hospital she laughed like Fran Dresher. I think it had alot to do with her scarred airway, but the bigger she gets the better it sounds.

Ava has beautiful big eyes, and she has already learned how to use them to get her way.

When she came home from the NICU she weighed just over 5 pounds, she is now 13 pounds 8 oz. She is a peanut, she has a very small frame and she is very dainty. Although she will eat more than any of the other kids in this house, including Delaney. She will eat anything you put in front of her and she loves peas!

Ava can be a bit sneaky too. She likes to get into to things, then once the boys get there sneak away as if she never touched it.

Ava is such a comedian, she loves to do anything to make someone laugh. She'll make goofy faces or noises just to get a smile out of someone. I couldn't imagine life without my lil Ava.
