So Saturday we went to the Akron Zoo for the Walk for Babies. I'll tell ya I was a lil nervous seeing all those nurses and Dr's from the NICU. It brought back alot of memories. After getting there and seeing the many people, nurses, parents we have met in the last 9 months, I was glad i went. We saw a few of our favorite nurses and got to spend some time talking. It was nice. It turned out to be a beautiful day.
Our team name was Multiple Miracles it was truly fitting. I had shirts printed with the team name on the front. On the back I found a nice verse from the Bible that just rang true.
His great works are too marvelous to understand, he performs miracles without number. Job 9:10.
I thought that is exactly it, these babies are a miracle. Born at 24 wks, being triplets, having extremely low birth weights, it's just amazing. Anyway our team raised $620.00, not too bad. The Grand total still hasn't been released, but as of Saturday it was over $40,000.00 That's Awesome! We met a few other people that have convinced us to join the FACT group at the hospital. So I think next month Greg and I will be going to the meeting. Their luring Greg in with food....imagine that! Our trio won an award at the walk. They won the "Most recent NICU grads" (well that was there) I was excited! We had the only set of triplets there which made for lots of stares and questions. The man that gave us our award was joking with the crowd..,."to bad there's not an award for the longest stroller." They had raffle tickets for tons of different prizes. One of which was a $100.00 gift card to a local spa....I put every ticket I had in there....no luck!
So I have tons an tons of pictures from the walk, but I'm only going to post a few. Most of them are on my Myspace page if you wanna have a look.
A few pics at the end of the walk

What is the FACT group? Who were your fave nurses? We haven't been back to see our favorites since the babies were a few months old. Too hard to go there, I can't even go back to General yet...
Great pics! Next year for sure we'll do it! We do March of Dimes every year!
