preschool days

Today was Delaney's 1st day of preschool. She woke right up, ate breakfast, and was dressed in a matter of minutes. She was so excited. The preschool has a drop off where you can just drive up and the teachers get the kids out of the cars and take them in. Today when she got out of the car, I was balling in the front seat, trying to hold the camera still. The teacher told Delaney that I was trying to get a picture. Delaney turned around and said "I know she always does" then she turned and smiled, and walked away...I cried. The Director handed all the moms a Ziploc bag with some things in it for the 1st day. The bag consisted of a pack of Kleenex, a tea bag and a cotton ball. A letter was attached to it that said, Now that you have wiped your tears, go home, prop your feet up, have a cup of tea. When you hold the cotton ball and think of your child's gentle spirit. Wow that made me cry harder...I am such a baby. Greg and I both went to pick her up. She jumped right up in the van. Here's how it went.

Me-How was you day?

Delaney-It was cool

Me-Did you like it?

Her- Yes

Me-Well?

Her-Well what?

Me-Well what did you do?

Her-Learned

Me-Learned what?

Her-Stuff

Me-Did you make any friends?

Her-Yep

Me-Do you at least want to go back?

Her-I am going tomorrow.

Me-You don't have school on Thursdays?

Her-I'm still going, and I will wait till they open again.

She was so vague, I had to pry everything out of her. As she talked to her Aunt's and Grandparents, she seemed so happy. She was telling them all about her snacks, and how she gets to take snack on Friday etc. She was beaming the rest of the day. I think it really wore her out though. She took the biggest nap, and boy did she NEED it. I hope it goes this easy everyday!

Sounds like she had a great day! Do you want to go to the multiples meeting on Monday? Also, are you interested in the stroller?

Hi! Beautiful kiddos. I just wanted to say it was the same exact thing when my DS started school. It's like I was sending him into a black hole every day. Now the trips are going through the same teachers Jack had and I get a word-for-word replay of what happens each day. Cracks me up. Just wait!
